1:The first tip is completely from my own experience. Now this may sound very basic and has nothing to do with online safety, but make sure you keep your cuppa tea, coffee, or glass of wine a safe distance from your keyboard. Now I know this sounds a bit obvious, but I only had 1 to go, in a jackpot game and mistakenly spilt coffee through my keyboard, completely ruining my computer. Don’t make the same mistake I did. 2:Now the most important thing on your computer is to make sure you have an up to date antivirus. Your computer should warn you if you don’t have and up to date protection. If you don’t have an antivirus, there are many different antivirus programs on the market. AVG is a free antivirus which is very good. Nod32 is one of the best on the market at the moment. Norton is also very good but can make your computer a bit slow. Another tip with your antivirus is to make sure you keep it up to date, and perform a full scan once a month. |

3:Deleting your internet cookies. Now not all cookies are bad for your computer, in fact some can be very useful, but there are some that can be nasty. Deleting your internet cookies can also help to speed up your computer. Every internet browser is different so the best way is to click on Start----Control Panel----Internet Options. In the general tab, click on delete history----in the next window make sure only cookies and temporary files have ticks next to them, and click delete. |
